New Mobile Billboards Circle Macy’s Stores, HQ Urging Retailer To Restore Holiday Magic and Dump Donald Trump

As the holiday shopping season reaches its climax, Macy’s, one of the nations largest retailers, is facing increasing pressure to dump Donald Trump. Starting Saturday, December 22, new mobile billboards will circle the Macy’s Herald Square Store in New York City, and Macy’s corporate headquarters and department store in Cincinnati. The billboards are part of a campaign started by Angelo Carusone on SignOn.org urging Macy's to dump Donald Trump for a consistent pattern of racism, sexism and mean-spirited bullying. The billboards offer a nostalgic look at the holiday magic and goodwill that Macy's used to promote and urge the company to restore that magic by ditching the Trump brand.

The mobile billboards will run Saturday, December 22 through Monday, December 24. One billboard will circle the Macy’s Herald Square Store at 151 W 34th Street in New York City. A second mobile billboard will be circling Macy’s Corporate Headquarters at 7 West Seventh Street and department store at 505 Vine St in Cincinnati, Ohio. The ads were paid for by MoveOn.org Civic Action, which runs the SignOn.org petition platform.

"Donald Trump's brand of bigoted bullying is wildly inconsistent with Macy's brand. The inconsistency is why the Dump Trump effort took off and why Macy's brand reputation has suffered so severely as a result of supporting Trump,” said Angelo Carusone, creator of the petition urging Macy’s to Dump Trump. “These billboards are running in crucial locations and remind decision makers that their customers simply want the old Macy's back, not the Macy's that rewards and encourages Trump's contemptible conduct."
