In 2009, author Lacey Lafferty experienced a life-threatening medical crisis. Faced with the prospect of leaving her three-year-old daughter behind without a mother’s insights of life’s everyday challenges, she responded in the only way she knew how: she began to write.
The lessons Lafferty penned that year became an inspiring and irreplaceable gift to her daughter, and are now collected in the author’s new book, Messages from a Mother: The Love of My Life.
“I wrote this book to emphasize the importance of family and of leaving a written legacy for your children,” said Lafferty. “One of the most important things a parent can do is share the ups, downs and adventures of life with their kids.”
Messages from a Mother is essential reading for parents, grandparents, and especially young people, as they search for direction in navigating – and with some loving guidance, overcoming – the challenges of everyday life.
