Powerful Answers Award Program

This week, during his keynote address at CES 2013, Verizon Chairman and CEO, Lowell McAdam, announced the launch of the Powerful Answers Award program. This program gives companies, entrepreneurs and individuals the opportunity to generate innovative ideas that address some of the world’s biggest challenges. Top winners will receive $1 million in award money with a total of $10 million in prizes.

The contest is open to applications in healthcare, education, and sustainability that take advantage of Verizon’s platforms, and will be judged by a panel of independent experts, including Consumer Electronics Association Chairman, Gary Shapiro. More details will be available when the contest officially launches on March 31 with the announcement of the winners at next year’s CES.
