Hackensack University Medical Center is pleased to announce that 27 of its affiliated pediatric physicians were listed among the 2012 Favorite Kids’ Docs by New Jersey Family magazine – more than any other hospital in the state.
“I would like to congratulate each of the 27 Favorite Kids’ Docs,” said Robert C. Garrett, president and chief executive officer of Hackensack University Health Network. “It is so rewarding to know that this list is a result of direct nominations from our pediatric patients’ parents and caregivers, reaffirming HackensackUMC’s commitment to providing a safe, welcoming patient-centered experience – especially for our youngest patients. We thank all of the parents and guardians for taking the time to recognize our team members.”
Now in its fourth year, the Favorite Kids’ Docs campaign received more than 2,000 pediatric professional nominations for physicians, dentists, speech/language therapists, and other professionals. Out of the 2,191 nominations, only 635 made this year’s list. Parents and guardians were invited to make their nominations online for healthcare providers who work hard to keep kids healthy, while responding to parents' concerns.
“Congratulations to all of the Favorite Kids’ Docs,” said Jeffrey R. Boscamp, M.D., chairman and physician-in-chief of the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital. “It gives me tremendous pride to work alongside such dedicated and caring professionals. The entire team at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital dedicates itself every day to providing compassionate, clinically excellent care to our patients, and it is gratifying to know that our efforts are recognized by the patients and parents themselves.”
