A Winter String Concert was held recently at The Allendale Community for Mature Living presented by students of the Locola Music Studio based in Oradell. Fifteen students of Arlene Locola, ages 4 to 15 years old, serenaded the audience at the senior campus. Pictured (from left to right) are violinists Iris Lin, Silvia Shin, and Audrey Cha.
The ensemble performed Vivaldi’s Spring, the Jesse Polka, and Trepak from Tschaikowsky’s The Nutcracker Suite. Highlights included solo recitals by Julianna Davino, Ben Yankowitz, and Marina Pitrelli. The recital included a variety of tunes presented by a trio of students.
“This talented group of performers gave a very lively performance,” said Mary Stampleman, ADC, Director of Therapeutic Recreation and Public Relations for The Atrium Assisted Living. “We take pleasure in providing a forum for ensemble playing for young people.”
The Allendale Community for Mature Living is located at 85 Harreton Road, on 12 suburban acres in Allendale, N.J. The campus is easily accessible via Route 17 South with private driveway access.
