Local Attorney And Author Visits Kuwait To Speak International Event

Attorney Joseph E. Murphy has recently returned from Kuwait City, Kuwait where he participated in an event that was sponsored by the United Nations Development Program and Kuwait Transparency Society.
Murphy was invited to speak and participate in the regional workshop “Building Capacities and Promoting Collective Action to Strengthen Private Sector Integrity,” a program that is part of the Anti-Corruption and Integrity in the Arab Countries project.
The participants developed specific recommendations that will empower companies, governments and civil society to further strengthen private sector integrity in the hopes of leveling the playing field for business and furthering prosperity and stability in the region.
Murphy represented the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) and spoke about the topic “International frameworks and emerging global trends on private sector integrity: reaching small and medium enterprises.” Murphy is the director of Public Policy at the SCCE.
Attorney Joe Murphy has more than 30 years experience in the field of organizational compliance and ethics. Joe’s legal career includes working as the attorney for Bell Atlantic’s worldwide corporate compliance program. He is a highly requested lecturer for many professional organizations and his most recent book is 501 Ideas for your Compliance and Ethics Program. Joe has traveled extensively, and has done compliance work on six continents, but he’s still very active in his hometown of Haddonfield, New Jersey. A former “Citizen of the Year,” Joe founded the nonprofits, Dance Haddonfield and the Friends of the Indian King Tavern.
