The Village Voice's Sixth Annual Tasting Event "Choice Eats" Announces Special Guests & Additional Participating R


The Village Voice's sixth annual tasting event, "Choice Eats," announces a fourth round of restaurants set to be participating in this year's event, bringing the total to 47 with many more to come! Twelve additional restaurants that will be represented at this year's "Choice Eats" are: Banana Leaf, Danny Macaroons, El Almacen, Exchange Alley, Fay Da Bakery, Home By The Range, La Slowteria, Liddabit Sweets, Pete Zaaz, Red Hook Lobster Pound, Robicelli's, and Swine.

The Village Voice is also excited to announce that Choice Eats 2013 will feature DJ sets by Vito & Druzzi, best known as members of The Rapture. Also announced today special guest chef-celebrity, Sarah Simmons, founder of CITY GRIT and recently named as one of "America's Greatest New Cooks" by FOOD & WINE Magazine, will host a demo for all VIP ticket-holders during the VIP hour from 5:30 - 6:30 PM.

Ticket prices for this year's "Choice Eats" event feature a VIP ($80) and General Admission ($50) Ticket. General Admission ticket holders will receive complimentary food and dessert tasting, craft beer pairings, wine & liquor beverages, and entertainment throughout the night. Back by popular demand, the VIP experience allows guests to skip the line and gain entrance to an exclusive "Choice Eats" VIP tasting at 5:30 PM, one hour before the main event starts. The VIP tasting will feature pre-dinner drinks, private sampling, a culinary demonstration and a special VIP gift bag.

Returning back this year, "Choice Eats" will allow all ticketholders, to enjoy dessert offerings in the "Choice Sweets" tasting throughout the evening. Choice Sweets restaurants will be featured in the main tasting hall for GA ticketholders as well as in a private Choice Sweets VIP tasting room open exclusively to VIP ticketholders during the event's final hour. Over a dozen desserts curated by The Village Voice will make their debut.

The Village Voice will once again partner with the non-profit organization Slow Food NYC for the event and plan to donate a portion of ticket sales.
