Singles Study Reveals Increasing Demand for First Dates on Valentine’s Day

While Valentine’s Day is the most common date night for couples, more singles are going to great lengths to seek their own valentine. A dating survey conducted by WhatsYourPrice.com, the world’s only dating-auction website, found that more first date offers (369,282) are made the 4 weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day compared to any month of the year. Men even paid an average of $131.70 for a first date on Valentine’s Day, which is 62 percent higher than the annual average first date offer of $80 on the website

How far would you go to get a date this Valentine’s Day? For some singles, not even money is an issue. A singles study conducted by WhatsYourPrice.com, the world’s only dating auction website, discovered that Valentine’s Day isn’t strictly for couples.
369,282 first-date offers were made the 4 weeks preceding Valentine’s Day—the most of any one-month period of the year.
In fact, New York alone accounted for 27,733 first-date offers during this 4-week period, which is 1st on WhatsYourPrice.com’s “Top 5 Cities for Singles Seeking Valentines”. Men even paid an average of $131.70 for a first date, which is 62 percent higher than the site’s annual average of $80 on the website.

2.) Los Angeles, CA – 22,341
3.) Miami, FL – 20,162
