Paramus' First Potbelly Sandwich Shop to Open February 19

New Shop Partnering with Family-to-Family, Inc. for Pre-Opening Event
Potbelly Sandwich Shop will open its doors at 85 W. Spring Valley Ave., Maywood, NJ, Feb. 19. This will give Paramus-area residents the chance to experience the lively, neighborhood hangout that makes Potbelly Sandwich Shop “The Best Place for Lunch.”

Sanjay Spence is the general manager and he is excited about bringing Potbelly to Paramus and Bergen County. “There are many things that make the Potbelly experience unique—from the music to the smell of cookies to the unconventional décor,” Spence said. “Plus, I believe you haven’t had a sandwich until you’ve had a Potbelly sandwich. My favorite is the Double Italian on multigrain bread.”
The new shop will partner with Family-to-Family, Inc. during its pre-opening event to raise funds for the organization. “We are partnering with Family-to-Family because the organization shares a fundamental principle with Potbelly—we want to feed America,” Spence said. “Family-to-Family does so much to offer hunger and poverty relief, not only nationally, but right here in our community. Since Potbelly is a neighborhood hangout, we feel it is important to support those who are supporting our friends, neighbors and fans.”
Known for its good vibes in addition to great sandwiches, live music has been a part of the Potbelly experience since the first shop opened in 1977. Neighborhood musicians put a little rhythm into lunch by performing live at Potbelly Sandwich Shops around the country. Musicians interested in performing at the new Paramus Potbelly should contact the shop manager.
Potbelly has built a passionate, loyal following of fans who spread the word about the fun, energetic atmosphere and great food. The unique Potbelly experience is defined by its combination of toasty warm sandwiches, hand-dipped shakes and tasty made-to-order salads, as well as friendly and lively people. This is the first Potbelly Sandwich Shop to open in Paramus. The location is open Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
