On Monday, February 11th, 2013 Paramus Police Lieutenant Salvatore LaFerlita, while on patrol in the Garden State Plaza, observed a 1998 Buick century parked in a handicap parking stall without proper handicap placards or plates. After approximately 15 minutes, the operator of the vehicle returned and was questioned by Lt. LaFerlita
The individual, later identified as 26 year old Trubria Ziegler of Passaic, had given false information to Lt. LaFerlita as to who she was. Upon further investigation, her identity became known and a computer check revealed several warrants for her arrest. Ms. Ziegler was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. She was charged with providing false information to law enforcement, parking in a disabled person’s stall, and driving while suspended. She was later turned over to Clifton Police to answer for a warrant out of their jurisdiction.
