St. Joseph’s Healthcare System and Aetna Health, Inc. have completed mutually agreeable contract negotiations for the HMO and PPO products.
As a result, Aetna members will continue to receive full access to in-network care without interruption of coverage at St. Joseph’s Healthcare System facilities, which include hospital campuses in Paterson and Wayne, and outpatient centers across northern New Jersey.
“Both St. Joseph’s and Aetna were very interested in reaching a fair agreement, regardless of the challenges. This new contract preserves the longstanding positive working relationship between both organizations,” says William A. McDonald, President and Chief Executive Officer, St. Joseph’s Healthcare System.
“St. Joseph’s and our affiliated physicians look forward to working with Aetna in the coming years. We are grateful to the Aetna negotiations team, our community, our physicians, and staff for demonstrating sustained commitment to healthcare excellence,” adds Mr. McDonald.
