West Brook Students received a big Thank You from the students of Lake Riviera Middle School in Brick NJ. Many of the students at Lake Riviera lost homes during the October hurricane. A few weeks ago, students from West Brook Middle School created cards for students of Lake Riviera Middle School in Brick NJ. Students created cards and wrote positive messages to those students who were affected by Hurricane Sandy during advisory.
West Brook students discussed the damage that occurred along the coast and were asked to think about how it would feel to experience a loss of a home. Students were then asked to discuss their ideas and feelings. Students worked to create cards and even bought “bricks” at lunch. The funds raised were sent to Lake Riviera Middle School. Students and faculty of Lake Riviera appreciated all of West Brook’s caring and hard work. After receiving a wonderful thank you letter from the Brick school, students of West Brook were able to view the thank you letter that was prominently displayed in the main hallway of West Brook.
