Register for Summer Fun at Camp Newark Museum

Spend the summer at Camp Newark Museum, an innovative six-week experience that brings 80 world-class art and science galleries to life. Hands-on workshops and experiments in STEAM — science, technology, engineering, arts and math — ignite young minds and fuel contagious curiosity. Camp runs Monday through Friday, 9 am-4 pm, with an extended day option. All children ages 3-13 are welcome.

Campers work in diverse groups to envision, prototype, design, test and execute unique creations using 21st century skills such as critical-thinking, creativity and collaboration. Through the development of a marketing strategy for their designs, campers will cultivate language art skills and new vocabulary. This summer, campers will be immersed in the Museum’s new Makerspace, a place where young people explore their own interests, gain hands-on experience with tools and new technologies, develop innovative designs and build projects.
Week 1: July 8 to 12 — Wearable Tech: Design and create fashion such as clothing or accessories imbedded with technology.
