Crafted from billets of aircraft-grade aluminum, the Radius is durable as well as elegant. The case barely extends past the volume control buttons of the side, and weighs a mere 4.4 grams. To put that into context, a typical aluminum case on the market today weighs in at 20-50 grams!
Essentially, it is four protective corners lined with non-slip materials connected by an “X” frame. The corners provide grip and vibration absorption, and its slightly raised edges protect your display from being scratched when placed facedown. The pieces of the case are held together by four tiny, custom-made aluminum screws. Extra screws and an Allen wrench are included in the package.
The Radius’ design allows consumers to use a protective screen film in conjunction with the case. Additionally, unlike other aluminum cases on the market, the Radius does not interfere with the phone’s signal or reception as its carefully tailored edges avoid the antenna strips on the sides of the iPhone 5.
The Radius will be shipped with one corner module removed so the user can slide in their iPhone 5. Once securely installed, simply attach the corner using the included Allen wrench. All buttons, speakers and ports are perfectly accessible when the case is in place.
