Bergen County Executive Kathleen A. Donovan

On March 14th, County Executive Kathleen A. Donovan presented her yearly State of The County Address. This year's address, "Bergen County 2013: Resilient and Ready for our Future", began by taking a look back at 2012 and the devastation of Hurricane Sandy and the heroic efforts of county, local first responders and volunteers.

"2012 was an extraordinary year in which we saw the worst of Mother Nature and found the best in Human Nature."

With a strong emphasis on shared service as a means of property tax relief Donovan said, "Today county government is ready to take on new challenges and work together with municipal governments as we walk together into a new era of inter-government cooperation".

"We are a resilient county and we are pointed in the right direction for a better future."
