WHAT: On October 29th, 2012, Hurricane Sandy made landfall on the East coast, causing significant damage and destruction. One of the worst hit areas, the beloved Jersey Shore town of Seaside Heights, was completely devastated. After months of sorting through the rubble, town officials, residents and the surrounding community are rallying to rebuild and EarthCam invites everyone to watch live as the heart of the heart of this town comes back better and stronger.
WHY: EarthCam has teamed up with Seaside Realty to deliver live views from their webcam located right on the Seaside Heights boardwalk. Viewers all over the world will be able to stay up-to-date on the progress for this popular Jersey Shore spot – one that brings back happy memories for so many. The grand reopening for the boardwalk, shops and attractions is slated for Memorial Day weekend.
