The Fleeting Ends Release New Album, Our Eyes Are Peeled (MilkBoy Records), on March 26th

Indie pop-rock trio, The Fleeting Ends, just released their new album, Our Eyes Are Peeled (MilkBoy Records) on March 26th. Produced by Philly's Tommy Joyner (Gomez, Dave Matthews, Jordan Meredith) the record is filled with hook-laden choruses, overdriven guitars and powerful string arrangements. With influences spanning from XTC and Spoon to The Verve and Blur, The Fleeting Ends exploit their roots while putting their own touch on an impressive array of pop gems. "...the [Fleeting] Ends have achieved a slick precision-pop-rock, reminiscent of The Killers and The Cribs." - Metro Philadelphia

"With Our Eyes are Peeled, The Fleeting Ends recast that back-catalogue, projecting all the records they were reared on through their still-developing voice - and doing so, announce themselves in a big way." - WXPN's The Key

The Fleeting Ends formed in 2008 in Upper Darby PA (just outside of Philadelphia) and consist of the youthful duo of songwriters, Matt Vantine (Vocals/Guitar/Keys) and Matt Amadio (Drums/Vocals/Keys), along with Russell Langley (Bass). The reckless abandon of their live performances led TFE to play a series of prestigious gigs, performing at WXPN's XPoNential Music Festival (Wilco, Dawes, The Lumineers), South by Southwest Music Festival, Musikfest and Pittsburgh Winter Solstice Fest. The Fleeting Ends knack for songwriting was recognized when the band won the Philadelphia Songwriters Project Songwriting Competition.

Our Eyes Are Peeled's emphasis on two-part vocal harmonies, driving beats and memorable hooks establishes the band as "One to Watch in 2013." The opening track "Little People" is a brash and high-octane salute to the punk and new wave bands that inspired Vantine's first love for music. "Growing up in the late 90's, I turned to the music of the 80's when I first picked up the guitar, I was inspired by groups like The Smiths and The Clash, that music really spoke to me." The piano-driven debut single, "Operator", showcases The Fleeting Ends memorable hooks and sprawling string arrangements composed by Larry Gold (Jay-Z, Lana Del Rey, The Roots). "I'm Like That"'s thumping R&B bass line is contrasted by swirling guitars and a self-revealing refrain, states Matt Vantine, "'After I'm Like That' I realized that I no longer felt honest writing songs about myself unless they were true and from the heart." "Floored" strips it down to a shimmering blues inspired electric guitar riff complimented only by a floor drum and Hammond organ and "Elaine (Until Now)" climaxes with sweeping strings matched by intricate guitar fingerings and an unforgettable chorus. States Matt Amadio, drummer and co-vocalist for the band, "Our new record has all the elements I love about rock and roll. An elegant message layered on top of honest, catchy instrumentation, it's another step towards truly finding ourselves." The Fleeting Ends have met pop perfection with Our Eyes Are Peeled and as WXPN's The Key wrote, "announce themselves in a big way." Our Eyes Are Peeled will be released via MilkBoy Records on March 26th.
