“We’re delighted to be turning our kosher-style deli into a showcase for a series of events that will be as delicious as they are fun, while supporting those who need food through Meals on Wheels,” said Steve Vaccari, Nosher-Rye owner. “Great food and laughter are a combination that can’t be beat, especially when those less fortunate benefit.”
“What’s a nice Korean girl doing in a Jewish deli? Noshing, of course! Nosher-Rye not only has the best Kasha Varnishkes and Stuffed Derma, they are an old style deli with the vibe I found only in the New York City and Queens delis of my youth. I am so excited to be melding my love for eating and Borscht Belt humor in showcase acts that will provide a walk down memory lane for some and simply belly laughs for others,” said Esther Goodhart, the Oriental Beauty. “From my childhood in Queens and summers in the Catskills, I am at heart (and through conversion) Jewish in spite of growing up in a Korean Christian family.”
