Neil Berg’s 100 Years Of Broadway Features Five Dazzling Broadway Stars

Bergen Performance Arts Center in Englewood, New Jersey Presents100 Years of Broadway recreates the greatest moments from the finest shows of the century featuring the actual stars of shows such as The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, CATS, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Jekyll & Hyde. These amazing performers light up the stage with songs from the hit shows in which they starred. Neil Berg presents brilliantly revived arrangements of Broadway classics as well as thrilling numbers from Broadway’s newest hit shows.
Past productions of this popular show have featured Betty Buckley, Liz Callaway, Ben Vereen, and Alex Santoriello among others. Along with musical director and pianist Neil Berg, the bergenPAC production will feature performers such as Carter Calvert, Rob Evan, Rita Harvey, Jeffry Denman, and Danny Zolli. As well as musicians Roger Cohen - Drums/Percussion, Abe Saenz – Bass, and Dan Walker – Keyboards.

NEIL BERG is the composer/lyricist of the hit off-Broadway musical The Prince and the Pauper, which ran for two years at the Lamb’s Theater in New York City. The New York Times described it as “...soaring on the wings of theatrical fun.” Berg is currently writing the music for the Broadway bound musical Grumpy Old Men, based on the hit film. Two of Berg’s new musicals have been selected for the prestigious New York Musical Theater Festival: The Man Who Would Be King, a musical realization of Rudyard Kipling’s novella, and Tim and Scrooge, the sequel to A Christmas Carol.
Carter Calvert is best known for originating her role in the Tony nominated, It Ain't Nothin' But The Blues on Broadway. The New York Times wrote, "Carter Calvert effervesces: her voice echoes chimes in the night" and "Her smoldering grip on "Fever" is positively dangerous".
Rob Evan is an accomplished actor, singer and producer with 20 years of professional experience in the entertainment industry. During the span of his diverse career, he has performed in seven leading roles on the New York Stage including the original Broadway cast of "Jekyll & Hyde," playing the title roles for three years and over 1,000 performances worldwide. His rendition of "This Is the Moment" has been performed at numerous prestigious events including the 2001 Inaugural Gala for President George W. Bush, the Millennium Independence Day US Naval Revue aboard the USS JFK for President Clinton, the Millennium World Forum Conference with guest speaker Mikhail Gorbachev, the 1998 Goodwill Games, the New York City Mayor's Inaugural Gala, the 1998 and 1999 NY Yankees World Series Celebration at City Hall, The Georgia Music Hall of Fame Awards Telecast, the Today Show, and Monday Night Football. Rob also appeared on Broadway as Jean Valjean in "Les Miserables," Kerchak in Disney's "Tarzan," The Dentist in "Little Shop of Horrors," and Count von Krolock in "Jim Steinman’s Dance of the Vampires". Off-Broadway, Rob created the roles of The Dancin’ Kid in "Johnny Guitar" and the hero Miles Hendon in Neil Berg's The Prince and the Pauper.
Rita Harvey performed on Broadway in the role of Hodel in the latest revival of "Fiddler on the Roof," directed by David Leveaux and starring Rosie O'Donell and Harvey Fierstein and Alfred Molina. After covering the two older daughters, she took over the role of Hodel and can see seen in the role at the Lincoln Center Archives.
Jeffry Denman was nominated for an LA Ovation Award for Best Actor in a Musical for On Your Toes (LA Reprise). He also starred in the San Francisco World Premiere and the LA Premiere of Irving Berlin's White Christmas. Broadway: Original casts of Irving Berlin's White Christmas (Astaire Award nomination).
Danny Zolli although best known for his monumental number of performances starring as Jesus & Judas in more than 23 productions (including Broadway and six National/International Tours) of "Jesus Christ Superstar" worldwide, Danny Zolli has been continuing to thrill audiences with his work on the concert stage and in the recording studio.
