K Of C Communion Breakfast, Sunday, Sept. 22

Mother Seton Council #5427 of the Knights of Columbus, located at 79 Pascack Road, Township of Washington, will host a Communion Breakfast on Sunday, September 22, after the 10:30 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. The occasion is the welcoming back of the Religious Education (CCD) students of OLGC. The breakfast is open to all OLGC families and their friends. The menu will include scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, French toast, home fries, rolls, Danish, orange juice, and coffee. The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children aged 5-12 (under 5 are free), and $25 per family (parents and children under 18). All profits will go towards some much needed upgrades of the OLGC school building. Tickets may be bought at the Council in the Members’ Room, Monday through Friday between 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. For more information contact the Council at 201-664-0422.
The Knights of Columbus was founded in 1882 at St. Mary’s Church in New Haven, Connecticut, by Fr. Michael J. McGivney. It is the world’s largest Catholic, family, fraternal, service organization with over 1.8 million members in some 13,700 local councils in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Guam, Guatemala, Panama, the Virgin Islands, the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, Saipan and Poland. It is dedicated to Church, community, family, and youth programs. Last year individual Knights spent 70.1 million hours of volunteer services to charitable causes and the Order donated $167.5 million in charitable contributions. Additionally 423,575 Knights were blood donors. The New Jersey Knights donated $4,568,772 to charities last year; Mother Seton Council contributed $55,879.
