Calling itself a 'Store for all Seasons, the State Fair Superstore located at 241 Main Street in Belleville boasts of having over eight thousand (8,000) costumes available for the discerning public. Along with the accoutrements for the inside and outside of the residence, one might say they have Halloween covered from goblin to pumpkin; that is their ghoul. Costumes for children of all ages are shown in the massive store display, something for everyone including couples.
To quote from their website www.StateFairSeasons.com : "State Fair Seasons is the world's most exciting costume and accessory retailer. We are your year-round source for infant, children and adult costumes, teen, sexy and couples costumes; even pet and mascot costumes. State Fair Seasons also has one of the largest selections of hats, wigs, masks, accessories and make-up as well as seasonal holiday decorations and props.
We offer fabulous high quality adult costumes, theatrical costumes, costumes for school performances, masquerade balls, themed weddings and luau parties along with mascots for schools and businesses. We also carry a huge selection of costumes for all holidays including Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mardi Gras, Easter, St. Patrick's Day, Purim, President's Day, 4th of July and Thanksgiving."
As one meanders through the vast store display, laughs, oohs and ahs are heard. An adjustable moustache is held up and its ramifications suggest lots of fun. A top hat or a crown or a western cowboy hat are just too tempting not to put on. Prior to entering the establishment, one encounters inflatable goblins, witches and other Halloween items to be desired.
Coming soon will be the State Fair Scare Factory, an annual event. Live productions of macabre scenes are portrayed and many an individual has left the area with a pale face and sometimes even more!
