Democratic gubernatorial candidate Barbara Buono issued the following statement on Yom Kippur:
“Tonight, Jewish families across New Jersey and around the world will begin observance of Yom Kippur, the holiest and most important day on the Jewish calendar. Yom Kippur, a day of personal atonement, is a time to reflect on the previous year, come together with family and loved ones and look forward to the year ahead. This solemn holiday is a reminder that while humans are imperfect, all of us have the power to create significant change in our lives and in the lives of others through kindness and positive actions.
“To all those observing Yom Kippur, I wish you an easy and meaningful fast. G’mar Chatimah Tovah.”
