The Village Voice Announces DJs & Beer Talks For "Brooklyn Pour" Craft Beer Festival

The Village Voice's third annual craft beer festival, "Brooklyn Pour" announces today the official event programming and 13 additional brewers for this year's event on Saturday, October 12th.
Brooklyn Pour is proud to announce the event will feature DJ sets by Marissa Paternoster, singer/guitarist frontwoman for Screaming Females and Noun, and Joe Steinhardt, co-founder of Don Giovanni Records and guitarist for the band Modern Hut. The two artists teamed up this year to release Modern Hut's debut full-length, Generic Treasure, produced by Marissa Paternoster.

Also announced are the "Beer Talks" lineup for Brooklyn Pour. Programming from the brewing world's most regarded experts will be available to both General Admission and VIP ticketholders throughout the event.
NYC Brewin': From NYC Nanos to Gigantos, Contracts and Everything In Between
with Chris Cuzme, brewer at 508 Gastrobrewery and a co-organizer of NYC Beer Week. This talk will dive into how New York City has one of the widest selections of imported & domestic beers available in the U.S. and what it means to brew in the big apple vs. the rest of the country. This talk will be presented by the New York City Brewers Guild.
Cuzme will also join his Co-Host Mary Izett from Fuhmentaboudit! on Heritage Radio Network to discuss Urban Homebrewing and the easiness of making brews at home, even in the smallest NYC apartment spaces.
Untappd + Beer = The Perfect Pint with UnTappd app Co-Founder Greg Avola will share the social media sharing aspect of beer and beer trends around the world.
Beertography with John Kleinchester will show attendees how to take the best photos of their perfect pints and host an exclusive event-only Beertography Contest.

The Village Voice is calling out to volunteers to join the official Brooklyn Pour "Brew Crew." Volunteers will represent Brooklyn Pour in a variety of roles and will be selected based on who will be the most responsible, knowledgeable and dedicated member of the event's team. Volunteer applicants must be 25 years old or older and must apply before this Friday. September 20, at: www.villagevoice.com/brooklynpour.
Brooklyn Pour will offer all ticketholders unlimited tasting of 100+ beers, a souvenir glass, entertainment, live onsite beer demonstrations from the area's top brew masters, and an exclusive Brooklyn Pour photo booth. VIP guests will be offered one hour of early admission to the event and a VIP lounge with a private bar, complimentary food, and a VIP Gift Bag.
Over 1,500 craft beer aficionados will sample the best seasonal, micro and reserve brews from breweries around the country with a pinpointed focus on the tri-state area. The best craft brews will be represented, along with demonstrations, meet & greets, beer talks, food court and more.
