Diabetes Awareness and Screening Event

If you have high blood pressure, high cholesterol or are overweight, you could be at risk for diabetes. Join the Paramus Board of Health in conjunction with The Valley Hospital in attending free lectures, free screenings and receive important and valuable information that everyone should know.
This event takes place on Saturday, November 2nd at The Luckow Pavilion at One Valley Health Plaza in Paramus from 9:00 a.m. until noon where no appointment is necessary.
The free lectures begin at 9:30 a.m. on “Behavioral Changes for Better Health” and at 10:45 a.m. with another lecture by Endocrinologist, Jack Tohme, M.D., entitled “Turning Your Risk Around”.
Other free screenings include, blood pressure, body fat analysis, foot screening, vision screening and sleep health assessment.
However, additional free screenings which will take place between October 1st and the 30th, such as cholesterol profile and A1C glucose screening, do require an appointment by calling 201-291-6467.
