(Englewood, NJ, September 30, 2013) – The Center for Korean Health & Wellness at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center (EHMC) recently hosted a free “Korean Community Health Seminar,” focused on dementia as it relates to the Korean-American culture. The event drew a crowd of more than 150 people and was the second in a lecture series that spotlights the diagnosis, treatment and management of behavioral health-related illnesses.
Bi-lingual speakers conducted the presentations in Korean. Topics included awareness, symptoms, treatment and disease management. Speakers also discussed resources available for families who provide care to loved ones who are diagnosed with dementia and other forms of the disease.
Attendees had an opportunity to participate in a question and answer session and enjoyed a complimentary lunch in between presentations.
