Chad Melton Honored As One Of NJBIZ Magazine’s 2013 Forty Under 40

The Forty Under 40 awards program honors men and women under the age of 40 who have been making headlines in their field and who share a commitment to business growth, to professional excellence and to the community. To qualify, a nominee had to meet selection criteria that included working in New Jersey and possessing significant authority for decision making within a company or organization.
“It is an honor to be nominated as one of the NJBIZ Forty under 40 recipients,” said Chad Melton, CEO of HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley. “I’m so pleased to be recognized along with the many professionals being awarded this year for being leaders in their fields.”
Chad Melton was named CEO of HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley in the spring of 2012. As CEO, Mr. Melton was responsible for the start-up planning, hiring, and day to day operations of the new hospital which opened its doors June 1, 2013. Mr. Melton works collaboratively with Richard Freeman, New Jersey market president for LHP, as well as with other leaders from HackensackUMC, LHP and the Joint Venture Board of Directors to ensure the success of HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley.
Mr. Melton joined HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley from LHP Hospital Group, Inc., in Dallas, where he served as division director of operations and was responsible for business development and operational assessment of LHP's Pocatello, Idaho and Sherman, Texas acute care facilities.
During his tenure at LHP, Mr. Melton focused on integrating partner facilities into LHP operations and business development. He is committed to service excellence and physician development. His philosophy is to balance service, quality and finances.
