Paramus Sunrise Rotary Has A Distinguished Speaker

Paramus Sunrise Rotary Club about a water purification program called H2Open Doors. Reverend Stone, a member of the Paramus Rotary Club and pastor of Trinity Presbyterian Church, recently visited a pure water fundraising event in Redwood City, California. He was privileged to not only being a principal speaker, but to learn about the solar powered water purification device that could be used anywhere in the world as long as there was sun to power it.The Reverend Doctor Samuel M. Hosted by the Redwood Rotary Clubs, the group raised enough money to purchase several of these $30,000.00 units. Stone brought back information about the units and ways to raise the funds needed to procure them. Both Sam and Sophie, his wife, call Burma/Myanmar, their country of birth. Sophie, Paramus Sunrise Rotary Club President has devoted much energy towards making Burma more hospitable. H2OpenDoors is just one of the many ways that have been of interest.
The project offered by the Rotary Clubs of Redwood City came as a different type of fundraiser. Speeches were limited to a total of twenty minutes. Reverend Stone was prepared to speak for twenty minutes, but was told that he would only have five minutes. When he arrived at the fundraiser, this was cut to one minute. Using his adaptive skills, he honed the message down to the required time and it was well received.
In the Questions and Answers that came after his presentation at Paramus Sunrise Rotary, The god minister said that this was doable here in Paramus and, if needed, would have the help of the person in Redwood City, that prepared the tremendous fundraiser. The club will discuss this at the next Board of Directors meeting. They are always on the alert to perform community and charitable events.
