Food and Wine Grand Tasting, Cooking Competitions, Culinary Workshops to Benefit Giants of Generosity and Five Other Local Charities
Giants of Generosity, a Bergen County-based charitable organization, in partnership with Gunter Wilhelm Cutlery and sponsored by BMW of Tenafly, Daily Food & Wine, and Singer NY Real Estate, will present a two-day Celebrity Food & Wine Show on Saturday, March 8th and Sunday, March 9th at the Clinton Inn Hotel, 145 Dean Drive in Tenafly, N.J. The two-day event will include multiple sessions for the general public to take part in the Food and Wine Grand Tasting, Cooking Competitions, Culinary Workshops, live music and more. You’ll meet featured guests Chef Maneet Chauhan, author, restaurateur, and a judge on the Food Network’s “Chopped” program, Chef Guy Mitchell, producer of the White House Chef Tours, as well as ABC Eyewitness News Anchor Lori Stokes.
This event will benefit the NJ Metro Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church of Tenafly, the Office of Concern food bank of Englewood, (YCS) Youth Consultation Service of Hackensack, SMA Fathers of Tenafly, and of course The Host organization, Giants of Generosity, Inc., a 501(c)3 public charity. Attendees are asked to bring non-perishable items that will be collected at the door for the food bank.
Celebrity Food & Wine Sessions:
Saturday March 8th

6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Sunday, March 9th
2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Doors open one hour prior to each session.
Each Premium session will include:
• A cooking demonstration and tasting, a book signing by Chef Maneet plus cooking competitions between advanced culinary students, emceed by Guy Mitchell. Copies of Maneet’s new cookbook, “Flavors of My World: A Culinary Tour through 25 Countries” will be available for purchase. Chauhan’s program starts promptly at 12:30 and 6:30 p.m. on Saturday and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, and will include the Grand Tasting.
Each Grand Tasting Only session will include:
• A Grand Tasting event featuring sample plates from many of New Jersey’s finest restaurants and tastings from world-renown wineries, as well as food-related vendors selling their wares, live music and more.
• There will be a Cork Pull Fundraiser for guests to win bottles of fine wines, and a silent auction.
Tickets for Celebrity Food & Wine Show 2014 are $75 per person for premium tickets for the celebrity chef showcase with Chef Maneet and Guy Mitchell, and $55 per person for general admission to the Grand Tasting event. About Chef Maneet Chauhan
Chef Chauhan’s culinary journey began in her homeland of India, where she graduated at the top of her class at The Welcome Group Graduate School of Hotel Administration. After interning at India’s finest hotels and kitchens, she attended The Culinary Institute of America and graduated with high honors. Chauhan served as executive chef at some of the finest restaurants in Chicago and New York before founding Indie Culinaire, an avant-garde culinary and hospitality company. The only Indian female ever to compete on Iron Chef and a fierce competitor on The Next Iron Chef, Chef Chauhan is now a full-time judge on the Food Network hit show, Chopped.
