Don Bosco Prep Announces 2013 Advanced Placement Scholars

Program Recognizes High School Students Who Demonstrate College-Level Achievement
The College Board Advanced Placement Program (AP) is a nationally recognized program that enables high school students to pursue college-level studies with the opportunity to earn credit or advanced placement. Don Bosco Prep announces that forty-five of its students have been recognized as 2013 AP Scholars in three categories of achievement.

“The Advanced Placement Program provides motivated high school students with the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and academic behaviors necessary for success,” said John Stanczak, Principal of Don Bosco Prep. “We are proud to recognize the achievements of our AP scholars, who have demonstrated that they are ready for the challenges of higher education.”

Thirteen of the school’s seniors have been recognized as 2013 AP Scholars with Distinction. This designation is granted to students who receive scores of 3.5 or higher (on a 1-5 scale) on five or more AP Exams. The students who have been recognized are:

• Corey W. Meyer, Totowa, NJ
• Brendan T. Mullen, Totowa, NJ
• Damian O’Sullivan, Suffern, NY

• David E. Rameau, New City, NY

Four Don Bosco students have been recognized as AP Scholars with Honor, a designation granted to students who receive scores of 3.25 or higher on four or more AP Exams. The students who have been recognized are:

• Anthony Gallo, West Nyack, NY

The AP Scholar designation is awarded to students who receive scores of 3.0 or higher on three or more AP Exams. Twenty-five Don Bosco Prep students have received this recognition:
