Get Ready For The Big Game With Easy To Make Personal Pizzas

With football season heating up in the next few weeks, it’s a great time to think about quick and easy foods to serve friends and family while watching the big game. Pizza is always a winner at parties. Here’re are two easy-to-make personal pizza recipes from Greg Grime, the resident pizza expert at Kontos Foods, a Paterson-based company that specializes in flatbreads and traditional Mediterranean foods.

Recipe#1: Kontos “Spinach-Mushroom” Personal Pizza


Ingredients:
One 7-Inch ready-made pizza crust (optional- grill for 1 min before topping grilled side up.)
1 ½ oz. (12-14 slices) Baby Portobello or Crimini (brown) Mushrooms
1 oz (8-10 leaves) sliced Fresh Baby Spinach
1 ½ oz sliced sweet onions
3 oz. Goat Cheese
2 oz. Feta Cheese
½ oz shredded Parmesan Cheese

Directions:
Convection Oven- Preheat Oven to 375 degrees F
Conventional Oven- Preheat Oven to 400 degrees F

Combine Goat and Feta cheese in a bowl until well blended
Spread the Cheese mixture evenly on Kontos Pizza Crust
Top evenly with sliced mushrooms, spinach, and onions
Sprinkle shredded Parmesan Cheese evenly on top

Place topped pizza into the oven, directly on rack for crispy crust, on a pan for soft crust.
(Note: Toaster Ovens are ideal for Kontos Foods Pizza Parlor Crusts!)
Convection Oven - Bake for 5-6 minutes
Conventional Oven - Bake for 6-8 minutes

Remove from oven with a baking sheet or pizza spatula.
Let cool for 1-2 minutes.
Slice into 4-6 slices.
Enjoy!

Note: Oven baking times can vary- Flatbread pizza is ready when edges are medium to dark brown.


Recipe #2: Kontos “Smokehouse Supreme” Personal Pizza

Ingredients:
One 7-Inch ready-made pizza crust (optional- grill for 1 min before topping grilled side up.)
1/3 cup Tomato/pizza sauce
1/3 cup Shredded Mozzarella or Provolone Cheese
8-10 slices Pepperoni (beef, pork or turkey)
½ oz Italian-Style Sausage pieces (cook first; traditional pork or chicken)
¼ oz Grated/Shredded Parmesan Cheese
Pinch – Shredded Fresh Basil Leaves

Directions:
Convection Oven- Preheat Oven to 375 degrees F
Conventional Oven- Preheat Oven to 400 degrees F

Spread Tomato pizza sauce evenly on Kontos Pizza Parlor Crust
Spread Shredded Cheese evenly
Top evenly with pepperoni and sautéed Italian-Style Sausage pieces
Top evenly with shredded Parmesan Cheese
Sprinkle Fresh Basil Leaves evenly

Place crust into the oven, directly on rack for crispy crust, on a pan for soft crust.
