Currie, Prieto, Stellato Endorse Congressman Pascrell

Bergen, Hudson, Passaic Democratic Chairs united in support of Pascrell reelection

Passaic County Democratic Chair and New Jersey Democratic State Committee Chair John Currie, Bergen County Democratic Chair Lou Stelatto, and Hudson County Chair and Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto today united in endorsing Congressman Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09) for re-election as the Representative for New Jersey's Ninth Congressional District.

"We are proud to come together and endorse our Congressman, Bill Pascrell," the chairs said in a joint statement. "Whether it comes to fighting for Sandy recovery or resources for our first responders, Bill has been a tireless advocate in DC for North Jersey residents. We look forward to continue working with Bill as he rolls his sleeves up to fight for middle class taxpayers, create jobs and boost our economy."

Pascrell, who is seeking his tenth term in Congress, was first elected to the United States House of Representatives as congressman for New Jersey’s 8th Congressional District in 1996. In 2012, Pascrell was elected to represent the newly redrawn 9th Congressional District, which includes part of Passaic, Hudson and Bergen Counties. Pascrell currently serves on the House Budget and is the only member of the New Jersey delegation to serve on the powerful Ways and Means Committees.

"I am proud to be endorsed by three of the hardest working Chairmen in New Jersey and am grateful for their unwavering support," said Rep. Pascrell. "While there are many challenges in Washington right now, I remain committed to fighting on behalf of middle class families across our nation and building an economy that works for everyone."
