In the new book, Teeing Up for Success, the EWGA has compiled stories of insight and inspiration from extraordinary women on how they have used the game of golf to achieve their goals. Golf has become an integral part of Collé Corporation and Collé Products Owner, President, and CEO, Thadine Clifton's professional life.
In her chapter, "Seeing The Game of Golf Through a Woman's Eyes," Thadine recalls how the game of golf opened doors for her and created business relationships. When she worked in the male dominated chemical industry, it didn't take long until Ms. Clifton noticed that not only were the men treated like royalty, but their means of practicing business occurred on the golf course. She soon learned if she wanted to play with the "big boys," she would have to get serious.
Thadine's involvement with golf began to prosper beyond her play. Her relationship with the game evolved into her own business venture thus spawning her company, Collé Products. Known for the product "Golf Shine," Thadine managed to intertwine her professional career and her love for the game.
To this day, Thadine recognizes that golf isn't all about business. "Golf has brought me the comfort of tradition, yet the synergistic opportunities in playing. It brings back old memories that light up my smile and at the same time, progressively moves us into the future. The game surrounds us with individuals who are positive, uplifting, health conscious and who love the outdoor sociality of the game," says Ms. Clifton.
The book offers over 30 compelling stories of how golf can make a difference in one's life. From EWGA's CEO Pam Swensen's "The Power of the Dimpled Ball" to Debbie Waitkus' "Turning Golf into Gold," these stories share their most intimate recollections of how the game has contributed positively to their lives and careers.
For many of these women, golf has been a door opener and has presented them with countless opportunities. It has given them equality, credibility, and has opened the lines of communication, allowing for easy conversation and providing a great setting for relaxation and fun.
Delve into these chapters and enjoy these women's stories of wisdom, courage, faith, and success. Prepare to be inspired by this beautiful compilation woven together by a love for golf.
