Today, U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09) issued the following statement after Congressman Rush Holt announced that he will be retiring from Congress at the end of this term:
"Rush Holt will be greatly missed by both his colleagues and the folks he proudly represents in Congress, and he certainly won't be easily replaced. For 15 years he has been a great companion in helping make New Jersey and our nation a better place for all, which is why I'm sure this was not an easy decision for him to make. Rush has worked tirelessly to secure funding for research in science and technology, make education more affordable for everyone, and to protect our environment for future generations. I know that Rush will continue to be a staunch advocate for New Jersey in his retirement, and I wish him and his family the best."
