Rose's of Englewood Seafood Showcase Remodeled - Congressman Bill Pascrell Cuts The Ribbon

Rose Seafood
On Friday, February 28th, Rose's of Englewood revealed its newest remodeling, A Fresh Fish And Seafood Showcase. To introduce this newest addition, Congressman Bill Pascrell was invited to cut the ribbon along with NJ Assemblyman Gordon Johnson. An overflowing crowd attended the ceremony and partook of some of Rose's of Englewood's delicious Lebanese fare. Rose was kept busy greeting all the latecomers and playing hostess at the same time. She was assisted by members of her family and friends. These included Maggie Hajjar, Ritzy Moralez-Diaz and Charlie Atie.

Congressman Pascrell had just arrived back in New Jersey from Washington, DC and had to attend another function in Wayne before being able to go home and spend time with his family. Due to the impending snowstorm, he anticipated returning to DC on Sunday evening in order to be present for an important Congressional vote on Monday. Adding to that, the press of well-wishers at Rose's of Englewood kept him busy even while he took a few minutes to sample Rose's specialty food. He had been to her restaurant in Fairlawn on Route 4 W, but never to this one nor to the Cliffside Park location.

Rose had laid out a dazzling array of food for her guests to sample and her staff helped them with the BYOB that some of them had brought. The pita bread was like no other that we had tasted. She has it flown in from Montreal, especially for her clientele. In sampling the mussels, the cauliflower and various dishes, it was oohs and ahs expressed over the tastes and flavors. The upstairs section had been completely redone with a beautiful wall mural as background. A different mural adorns her main downstairs dining area.

Rose's of Englewood is located at 126 Engle Street, about three blocks past W. Palisade Avenue. Parking is offered at a lot in front of the building as well as on street. Call 201 541 0020 for reservations. Fax 201 541 0022. Visit there and enjoy Rose's excellent Lebanese cuisine.
