Amy B. Mansue, Hightstown resident and president and chief executive officer of Children’s Specialized Hospital, the largest pediatric rehabilitation hospital in the country, will be inducted into the New Jersey Business Hall of Fame™ on April 3, 2014 at the Newark International Airport Marriott. Ms. Mansue will receive this prestigious award, granted to New Jersey’s ‘ultimate role models,’ for her work as a highly regarded social services and health care executive, skillful leader and a long-time advocate for quality health care.
In her leadership role as president and chief executive officer of a team of highly skilled clinicians and therapists who provide specialized care for children affected by brain injury, spinal cord dysfunction and injury, premature birth, autism, developmental delays, and life-changing illnesses, Ms. Mansue brings a wealth of experience and passion to the health care industry. She demonstrated this passion at the New Jersey Business Hall of Fame™ Laureate Legacy Breakfast at PSEG in Newark where she spoke to New Jersey youth from underserved communities about the importance of getting an education and the skills needed to be successful in their future careers. She engaged the students with stories of persistence and optimism, qualities Ms. Mansue says are essential to have a successful career in the health care industry.

Under Ms. Mansue’s guidance, Children’s Specialized Hospital was named 2012 Hospital of the Year by NJBIZ Healthcare Heroes, and holds the distinct honor of being the only pediatric rehabilitation system to be named to New York Magazine’s Top Hospital Listing. They were also named by NJBiz as one of the “Top 25 Places to Work” from 2006 to 2009 including the number one ranking in 2008 and ranked in the top 100 Best Healthcare Employers in the U.S. by Modern Healthcare in 2008 and 2009.
