Thomas Bracken, Skillman resident and CEO of New Jersey Chamber of Commerce will be inducted into the New Jersey Business Hall of Fame™ on April 3rd at the Newark International Airport Marriott. Mr. Bracken will receive this lifetime achievement award, granted to New Jersey’s ‘ultimate role models’, for being one of our state’s most influential and outstanding business leaders through his years of dedication and success in the banking and financial services industry.
Veteran banker, Thomas Bracken has been a trailblazer in the banking industry for many years. He has four decades of experience previously serving as president of TriState Capital Bank, president and CEO of Sun Bancorp, Inc., in addition to holding several executive positions within other recognized financial institutions.
As a widely recognized leader in the financial community, Mr. Bracken is also actively involved in numerous businesses and community organizations. He has worked with the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce for more than 30 years and his is passion for our state is documented through various initiatives to help promote economic growth opportunities for New Jersey businesses and communities.
Mr. Bracken’s efforts to impact New Jersey is not limited to working with businesses. In January, he attended the New Jersey Business Hall of Fame ™ Laureate Legacy Breakfast at PSEG in Newark to speak with 40+ youth from underserved communities in New Jersey. He engaged in meaningful dialogue with the students sharing motivational stories of trial and error, the importance of learning from mistakes and maintaining a good reputation; stating how a person’s reputation and relationships can make or break their career.
Not only do his achievements speak volumes to his success but also to his innovation, leadership, involvement and compassion for New Jersey’s businesses and residents. Bracken, a Bucknell graduate, is currently the chairman of the Finance Committee of the Cancer Institute of New Jersey Foundation, the chairman of the New Jersey Alliance for Action Foundation, and a board member for Public Media NJ, a subsidiary of WNET.
