Paramus Police Announce Arrest Of Burglary Suspect

The Paramus Police Department with the assistance of the Belleville Police Department, announces the arrest of Christopher Gallo, 20, yoa, of Belleville NJ, for Burglary and Theft of Credit Cards. The arrest came about as a result of a lengthy investigation by the Paramus Police Detective Division. Detective Glen Pagano was the lead detective in this investigation.

During the months of January and February the Borough of Paramus had numerous thefts from locker rooms at health clubs located within the Boro. On February 10, 2014, during the afternoon, several lockers were burglarized at 24-Hour Fitness located at 260 Route 4 eastbound. The suspect now identified as Christopher Gallo, went into the gym locker room, entered at least three lockers and took the victim’s car keys. He then went outside where he entered the victims’ vehicles, stealing credit cards, cash and GPS units from each car. Detective Pagano was able to locate evidence and with the assistance of Belleville Detective Raphael Reyes was able to identify the suspect. On April 12, 2014, Paramus and Belleville detectives located Gallo at his home and placed him under arrest. He was transported to Paramus headquarters where he was booked and released on $50,000.00 bail. The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

The suspect was arrested and charged on April 12, 2014 with:

Burglary 2C:18-2
Criminal trespass 2C:18-3
Theft of Credit Cards 2C:21-6
