Ray Wells
Rotarians and friends celebrated fifty years of membership and fifty years of Perfect Attendance at Seasons recently. A group of over 200 people assembled to wish this stalwart Rotarian well and to congratulate him. Family and friends surrounded him along with Paramus Mayor Rich LaBarbiera and Rotary dignitaries. The accolades were so many that the normal ninety minute Rotary meeting lasted almost double that. Of course there was a delicious meal served by Seasons.

Www.ParamusPost.com was there in full force, publisher Sam Stone being a member of the Paramus (noon) Rotary Club that sponsored the function as well as co-publisher of www,ParamusPost.com and current President of the Paramus Sunrise Rotary Club, Sophie Stone, along with Tina Apprich and Mel Fabrikant. PSR Honorary Member Mayor Rich LaBarbiera presented Ray with a Paramus Proclamation while PDG Raj Bhatia presented one from the Mayor of Oradell who was unable to attend. County Executive Kathe Donovan also honored Past Rotary International Director Ray.

7490 District Governor Len Agrusti paid tribute to Ray, a member of his District. Paramus Rotary President Jennifer Padolina began the meeting and welcomed everyone before turning it over to PDG Emil Geering, one of the noon club members, who acted as Master of Ceremonies. The club's Vice President, Jay Leone, maitre d at Seasons, explained how all this came about and the difficulties and ease at getting people to recognize Ray Wells.

Having known Ray for many of his fifty years of Rotary Service, it was a pleasure to see this hardworking Rotarian receive credit for his adherence to the Rotary motto of Service Above Self!
