Giving due credit to Mayor LaBarbiera, the business meeting, which started later than usual, was dealt with swiftly and efficiently. The Council members kept their reports to a minimum and the Resolutions were attended to promptly. There was one dissention vote in the entire process.
Councilman Pat Verile was singled out by the Mayor and lauded for his successful finish in a grueling Spartan Race. Verile reported that the Recreation Commission was accepting late registrations and that many trees had been planted by the Shade Tree Department under the watchful eye of Jay Sexton.
There was a plea from residents affected by the rejuvenation of a plan to erect a cell tower on the Ambulance Corps building. LaBarbiera turned it over to the Borough Attorney to comment, but added that he was the only member at the dais who was present during the initial attempt in 2005. Sam Casiello questioned the fee structure at the Ambulance building.
