Each year, Paramus Sunrise Rotary Club ensures that there will be flowers in the flowerboxes in front of the Paramus Bandshell. Through the beneficence of Westfield Garden State Plaza Shopping Center and Jay Sexton, Superintendent of the Paramus Shade Tree and Parks Department, this has become an annual event. Westfield has been kind enough to donate the flowers and Shade Tree and Parks has ensured the proper planting. Members of the Paramus Sunrise Rotary Club along with Lisa Herrmann Srednicki from the Plaza took time out from their busy schedule to commemorate the event. Jay Sexton could not make it this year for the photo.
Under the direction of then Chief of Police Rick Cary, these boxes were built and donated to the Library area. The grounds are too wet to maintain a flowerbed so the boxes were the next best thing. They have graced the area for the past six years and the flowers have lent themselves to the beauty of the many shows that are staged there.
Paramus Sunrise Rotary Club is proud to be able to donate Community Service to Paramus.
