Former Paramus Mayor James J. Tedesco III held a news conference at Plaza 35, the scene of a former success. In his campaign for Bergen County Executive, Tedesco chose Plaza 35 for his conference because it was a site that he helped to succeed while Mayor of Paramus. His idea now, as then, is to get cooperative efforts together to forge a winning plan to keep industry and business in Bergen County. Without using huge buyouts and concessions, Tedesco sees Bergen County as the ideal place for progress. It has all the vital components!
Spoken before a group at Plaza 35. NJ Assemblyman Joe Lagana, Freeholder Chairman David Ganz were part of the people who listened to his progressive program. Instead of 'business as usual' Jim Tedesco was able to point out areas that could be developed along with the many opportunities that Bergen County has to offer now. He feels that better promotion would be the key to cooperation and too keeping business in the area while attracting newcomers.
He addressed the tax base which the Freeholders have kept with no increase to the home owner or the businesses as well as the lure of the wealthy towns that it encompasses. By attacking these problems, further growth will help Bergen County to offer more 'bang for the buck!'. Tedesco has a deep appreciation for Bergen County and its residents and businesses. He has served in many elected and volunteer positions in his home town of Paramus as he was growing up and establishing a family. He continues to serve!
