Woodmont Employees Steven R. Klenk and Carol Bukantz Awarded for Work on Grand Manor Homes
Woodmont Properties, one of New Jersey’s foremost developers of luxury residential communities, today announced that Steven Klenk and Carol Bukantz have been recognized for their work on the Saddle River Grand ultra-luxury community, located in Saddle River, N.J. The two were given 2014 Awards of Excellence from the Metropolitan Builders & Contractors Association of N.J.
Klenk was named Project Manager of the Year for his critical role in building the 68 luxury manor homes at Saddle River Grand. Klenk managed all aspects of construction during the accelerated building process resulting from the property’s amazing success.
“We had initially planned for a three-year sell out and a four-year build out,” Klenk said. “Instead, we sold 17 homes in the first weekend and all 68 homes in six months. As a result, we expedited our construction plan while incorporating the custom changes requested by the homebuyers.” The home sold for between $1.3 million of $2 million.
An experienced custom homebuilder, Klenk managed a team of 18 on-site members and organized the complicated scheduling and production process in phases. The strict production schedule along with the custom change orders complicated the process, but Klenk and his team completed 50 custom villas by the end of 2013. As a result of his work on Saddle River Grand, Klenk was promoted to Construction Vice President of Woodmont Properties.
Bukantz was awarded for her achievement as Senior Selection Coordinator. She managed buyers through each of the three stages of selection, in which homebuyers had the opportunity to customize and upgrade the standard home selections, from the space within the home to mechanical options and finish selections such as tile and carpet.
“The homebuyers were experienced and ready to be actively involved in the customization of their new homes,” Bukantz said. “This involved working with the architect as well as third party vendors, and some of the buyers brought in their own interior designers.” Bukantz ultimately sold $10,000,000 in options, working with affluent customers and on strict deadlines requiring long hours.
Saddle River Grand is a gated luxury community located in Saddle River, N.J., featuring attached, brick Georgian Colonial homes ranging from 4,500 to 5,700 square feet. Located within Bergen County and a short commute from Manhattan, the community was designed to appeal to affluent homebuyers seeking to downsize from their large estate homes.
In 2013, Saddle River Grand was named “Community of the Year for an Attached Community Over $350,000” (Architect: Robert Zampolin) at the New Jersey Builders Association’s 26th Annual Conference. The property also received the following recognitions: Best Color Ad One-half Page & Under; Best Special Promotion for a Community; Best Sales Office -800 Square Feet or Less; Best Interior Merchandising for a Clubhouse; Best Attached Home Over $350,000.
