Berkeley College Professor Named To Int'l Academy Of Business And Economics Editorial Board

Nashwa George, PhD, CMA, Professor, Accounting and Finance, Berkeley College Larry L. Luing School of Business, has been named to the Editorial Board of the International Academy of Business and Economics (I.A.B.E). The I.A.B.E. is a leading global organization of academic scholars, business executives, students and public policy makers in business, economics and related fields.
The mission of the I.A.B.E. is to be the premier international scholarly academy for the exchange and advancement of research, teaching, and managerial best practices in all fields of business and economics,” said Marius Gavriletea, PhD, I.A.B.E. Vice President and Managing Editor. “We are honored that Dr. George has accepted the position and look forward to our continued collaboration.”
The I.A.B.E. Editorial Board comprises scholars from around the globe. The organization publishes a number of scholarly journals and holds annual conferences as an international forum to present research and cultivate discussion.
“Dr. George provides valuable insight into topics ranging from accounting ethics to public policy,” said Wolfgang Hinck, PhD, Dean, Berkeley College Larry L. Luing School of Business. “This opportunity will allow her to be an asset to the I.A.B.E. while representing Berkeley College on an international level.”
Dr. George is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the international honor society, as well as the American Accounting Association, the Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She joined Berkeley College in 2007.
