-Offering Helpful Resources and Information on Raising your Grandchildren-
(Englewood, NJ, August, 20, 2014) Englewood Hospital and Medical Center (EHMC) will host a hands-on course called, Grandparents Raising Grandchildren, and Luncheon from 9:00am-2:00pm on Sunday, September 21 in EHMC’s Ferolie Gallery. The class will offer information on important topics including: a refresher on newborn basics, adult/child relationships, effective parenting practices, caring for the caregiver, safety and first-aid, supporting your grandchild in school and much more.
A continental breakfast and resource fair will be offered during registration at 9:00am in the Chiang Auditorium. EHMC’s healthcare and other professionals will provide helpful advice and information on how to overcome the challenges of raising grandchildren. In addition, there will be a chance to win door prizes and all attendees will be awarded a Certificate of Completion upon meeting the goals of the conference.
Grandparents Raising Grandchildren is a FREE conference and luncheon. FREE parking will be provided. Classes will be offered in Spanish, as well. The course is open to grandmothers and grandfathers who are full-time or part-time caregivers of children of any age—from newborns to teenagers. Please, NO children at the conference.
