In addition to his role at HackensackUMC, Dr. Kaul is involved in the LIG Global Foundation, actively participating in medical missions in Haiti and the Dominican Republic, and organizing a fundraising event to benefit the foundation. As a trauma surgeon and chief of injury prevention, Dr. Kaul educates the community about drinking and driving, seatbelt usage, and other safety measures to high schools, as well as mentoring children from the community to become volunteers.
“Dr. Kaul is also dedicated to improving the health of children who were affected in the recent floods in Kashmir that have left over 200 dead and millions displaced and devastated in the worst floods to hit the region in more than a decade,” said Brach Eichler LLC managing member John Fanburg, as he presented the award to Dr. Kaul.
Dr. Kaul was presented with the “Burton L. Eichler Award” plaque and a check for $1,000 to be donated to the LIG Global Foundation.
“The ‘Burton L. Eichler Award’ was created to honor the memory and legacy of Burt Eichler, who co-founded Brach Eichler LLC. Mr. Eichler is widely regarded as a pioneer in the area of healthcare law, but he was also a man of enormous integrity, giving tirelessly to his community. The Burton L. Eichler Award honors his legacy of leadership in the healthcare industry and his spirit of giving to the community,” said Mr. Fanburg.
