Hudson Fiber Network Joins Forces with Habitat Bergen

ORADELL, NJ, July 30, 2015 – Hudson Fiber Network (HFN), a leading IP and network provider,  joined forces with Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County (Habitat Bergen) from July 15-17 to rebuild  homes damaged by Superstorm Sandy in Little Ferry and surrounding towns.

“We’ve built one of the nation’s largest fiber infrastructures here on the east coast,” notes Brett Diamond, HFN’s CEO. “It seemed only fitting that we help to rebuild something for our local community as well.”

HFN has built a fiber network that provides clients with national and international access connection points at faster speeds and with greater bandwidth.

The company, headquartered in Paramus, allowed employees to volunteer for three days to help repair and rebuild homes damaged by Superstorm Sandy.  HFN made a corporate donation to the cause as well as provided two days of pay to employees who participated.

“Our partnership with Hudson Fiber Network serves as a model of philanthropy for the rest of our community. As they continue to build global networks and local communities, we look forward to building upon this partnership with Hudson Fiber Network in the years to come,” said Angela King, Habitat Bergen Director of Volunteers.

Earlier this year, HFN was named one of Inc. 5000’s fastest-growing private companies, capturing the #3 in carrier, #13 in telecom and top 1000 in overall ranking.

About Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County

The goal of Habitat Bergen is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the face of the earth by working in partnership with people in need.  Using volunteer labor and donated funds and materials, Habitat Bergen builds or rehabilitates simple, decent houses and sells them to low-income families at cost, but with no interest added. Habitat Bergen is a people-to-people partnership, which joins all of us together regardless of race, nationality, religion, or socioeconomic status. That partnership begins with the homeowner families (partner families).  Habitat Bergen is not a giveaway program, but a joint venture in which those who benefit from the housing ministry are involved in the work at various levels. They help with the construction of their own home, as well as the houses of their neighbors.

Hudson Fiber Network (HFN) is the premier data transport provider, offering flexible networking solutions for financial, content, carrier and enterprise clients. The HFN suite of purpose-built solutions helps clients increase network efficiency and lower overall networking expenditures.
