The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at HackensackUMC received an ArtWorks art cart donated by the Gribetz Family of Englewood, NJ in memory of their friend Evan Levy. The Surprise!Supplies program provides art supplies for children with chronic or life-limiting illnesses. The goal of Surprise!Supplies is for children, and their siblings to have a creative outlet while anticipating a long day in treatment, enduring an extended stay in the hospital or accompanying a sibling to a procedure. ArtWorks has created a custom-built, hospital compliant, mobile art cart designed by pop artist, Ed Heck, to store and transport these materials.Michael B. Harris, M.D., co-director of the Children’s Cancer Institute at HackensackUMC accepts the art cart donation in memory of his patient, Evan Levy.
