Chinese Service Center to host Chinese New Year Event and 40th Anniversary Celebration

Hackensack, NJ – Chinese Service Center (CSC), a non-profit organization serving the Bergen County, NJ and New York City community will be hosting its annual Chinese New Year Celebration Hackensack Middle School (located at 360 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601) on Sunday, February 12th, 2012 from 12PM to 5PM.
CSC’s Chinese New Year celebration will kick off a yearlong series of 40th Anniversary events aimed to commemorate Chinese culture and traditions.

As a fan, I am excited that the Giants have once again brought a Super Bowl championship and the Vince Lombardi Trophy back home to New Jersey. After last winning a championship in 2008, this is the second Giants Super Bowl victory in the past five seasons, for an impressive all-time total of four Super Bowl wins amongst their eight National Football League championships.

HackensackUMC Physician Keynote Speaker at Bergen County Police Academy Graduation

LoCurto, M.D., of Park Ridge, chief of Hackensack University Medical Center’s Trauma/Surgical Critical Care and Injury Prevention Section, gave the keynote address at the recent Bergen County Police Academy graduation of class #107 in Mahwah, in which 18 new police officers from various agencies were sworn in. New Jersey Area Food Bank Benefits From BJ’s Feeding Communities Campaign

BJ’s Wholesale Club urged its Facebook fans to help end hunger, and they came through. Together with the company they raised nearly $210,000 to go towards the transportation cost of shipping fresh produce, meat and fish to those who need it most through the “BJ’s Feeding Communities” program. The virtual campaign, which ran from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31, raised money to help support transportation costs incurred in shipping food from more than 190 BJ’s Clubs to 44 food banks in 15 states, including the Community Food Bank of New Jersey in Hillside.
