Captain Benjamin Owens and Todd Campbell of nearby TowBoatUS Lake Hartwell have opened a second location, TowBoatUS Lake Richard B. Russell, at Beaver Dam Marina in Elberton, Georgia. Recreational boaters and anglers can call the on-the-water towing company day or night to get reliable assistance and tows back to a launch ramp or marina. Pat Benatar rocks Bergen County

Some may not know that Pat Benatar got her start in an off-Broadway musical composed by Harry Chapin when she was twenty-two. It’s true, the musical was called "The Zinger". After that, she was discovered by a record agent while singing at the New York club Catch A Rising Star. Pat Benatar has produced plenty of rock hits over the years.

Pat Benatar was inducted into the Long Island Music Hall Of Fame October 30, 2008. New Bounce House Opens in Paramus!

BounceU recently opened in Paramus on Eisenhower Drive (off of Century Road). I was fortunate to have a day off during the week so I called this place to find out if they had any open play time. Lucky for me they had open play time that day from 4-5:30. So I took the kids. We got there about ten to four and they made us wait in the lobby area. They made everyone wait and then at 4 they had all the kids sit in front of this TV screen for an instructional safety video. Read more

Healthy Families keeps kids safe through grant sponsorship

Keeping children in Bergen County safe is the goal of Care Plus NJ’s Healthy Families-TIP Program and a generous grant from Community Chest of Englewood is helping do just that. Thanks to the support of the Community Chest of Englewood, Healthy Families-TIP staff attended the Prevent Child Abuse National Conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This four day conference provided continuing education and training opportunities for the staff, enabling them to provide better services for children and families in our community.

NJSO presents Best of Shakespearean Romance at bergenPAC

ENGLEWOOD, NJ—“If music be the food of love, play on.” The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra acknowledges William Shakespeare’s famous quote in a program recognizing both the Bard and the proximity of Valentine’s Day. The NJSO presents “Best of Shakespearean Romance,” an ode to the myriad musical efforts the Bard’s works have inspired. Composers from Mendelssohn to Tchaikovsky to Sibelius have drawn on the playwright’s classic love stories, setting to music the tales of Shakespearean romances like Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
