(Englewood, New Jersey-July 7, 2017) More than 80 talented teenagers from across the region are hard at work preparing for The Performing Arts School (PAS) at bergenPAC’s summer musical, West Side Story, which will be presented Friday, Aug. 4 and Saturday, Aug. 5 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 6 at 3 p.m. on bergenPAC’s main stage.
July 7, 2017 - Hackensack, NJ - The Trauma/Surgical Critical Care and Injury Prevention Section of the Department of Surgery at Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack University Medical Center recently hosted the 14th Annual Spring “High School Traffic Safety Challenge” seatbelt program awards ceremony. Student representatives and teachers from 19 Bergen County high schools attended. This program was developed by the Drive Smart Foundation and funded with a grant from State Farm.
NEWARK, N.J., July 6, 2017 – Miles Berger (right), chairman and CEO of Berger Organization, was honored on at the fifth annual UNCF Masked Ball, an annual fundraiser to support UNCF New Jersey and the organization’s scholarship fund. The event was held in the newly renovated Crystal Room at the Robert Treat Hotel in Newark’s central business district. Berger was given the Masked Award, a painting by artist Brenda Singletary that reflects the UNCF’s ideal that “a mind is a terrible thing to waste.”
Assemblyman Says Settlement Funds Should Cover Legal Fees, Remediation and Restoration Efforts & Grants to Local Governments, Nonprofits
(TRENTON) – Assembly Environmental Chair Timothy Eustace released the following statement regarding the Governor’s line item veto of budget language that would have secured half of any environmental settlement for municipalities to use for legal service fees, and for funding local governments and non-profit organizations to perform environmental clean-up projects:
